Starting Out

So, I’m nineteen years old. Here are a couple of things I’ve learned so far:

Life isn’t meant to be lived alone.
Believe in people until they give you a reason not to
Try most things at once.
Dreaming is a good thing
Making mistakes is a good thing too.
Risks are necessary and scary
Feeling safe is not a want, but a need.
Friends are extended family.
Fish and milk together is a bad idea.
Heels are pain for the sake of an attractive leg line. Worth it.
People who talk to themselves aren’t crazy;
they’ve got it figured out.
Athletes are insane, which I can say, because I am one.

Sad songs and sunny days don’t mix
Music is the pulse of life.
Saying the same word twice does not change the meaning!
You should dance, even if you can’t.
The same goes for singing.
Doing the kiddie puzzles at restaurants boosts self esteem
Crossword puzzles don’t.
Sarcasm and abbreviations are essential nuisances
So are jokes with a sexual undertone.
Social norms and expectations are lame.
That people adhere to them is worse.
Honesty is very cool.
Every fear is valid
It most certainly takes a village.

Divorce affects more than two people.

Despite my efforts, I will never be able to lick my elbow.
Its not what you say, its how you say it.
People are more open at night, and cats are surprisingly hilarious
Words are priceless, and are the most difficult and valuable things you can share with someone.

Just to name a few.
